OZOLOTEPEC SMALL HOLDERS

We tried this coffee last year from Osito and knew we had to add it to our lineup for the 2025 season. Osito worked hard to source this coffee as it is the most remote coffee they have in the Americas. Due to this location selling the coffee can be logistically difficult for the producer, inhibiting their facility in procuring a fair price for the excellent coffee they are producing which should demand a high price.

The region has very limited production of coffee which is why it is important that a collective of small holders coffees are blended to allow them to sell in quantities that make transport logistically viable – creating a wonderful community microlot.

This is a truly great example of Mexican coffee, with beautiful dark floral flavours, citrus and a beautiful crisp apple flavour.

This coffee is a traditional washed process coffee.

About the roast:

We roasted this coffee lightly in a way that would emphasise the gentle components of this coffee, yet with enough energy to ensure the inherent sweetness will still appear.
