A deeply complex coffee that transcends different flavour profiles, starting off with a bright acid forward berry profile that cools into more complex caramelised fruits. This coffee definitely has a bit more funk than the rest of our lineup.
Lunar Washing Station is a program set up by Long Miles washing and processing coffee for many different farms and collectives. Our particular lot is from Bwesumbu Hills in the Rwenzori Mountains and purely SL28. The name Lunar Washing Station comes the mountains nickname (Mountains of the Moon) due to their moonlike terrain.
This Natural SL28 is deeply tartaric, with complex fruits and we are sure it will hit the spot when you are looking for a full complex cup that maintains bright clarity.
About the roast: We roasted this coffee to ensure capturing the bright fruity, berry forward profile of the SL28 whilst yet ensuring to develop the sweetness that we love from naturals. The total roast time of this coffee was just under 8 minutes with a 9%DTR
